Unhappy Sub-Woofers Cutting Out...Bose System

So I've had this problem for about a month now...never got around to posting anything about it... Just looking to get a quick answer since search turned up nothing.

The Situation: Subs cut out after a small amount of time depending on the volume level of the system...

1. Volume 10 - Cut out after around 10 seconds.
2. Volume 20 - Cut out after around 4 seconds.
3. Volume 25-Max - Won't even do a single thump...Cuts out instantly at 25 Volume.

The Strange Solution: Which is really not a conventional thing that I can do every time I want my bass to come out from songs. After heating up the engine by redlining in 3rd and shifting into 4th (On 4 Spd AT...not going to say the speed that is cause I'm sure most people know) They can magically work at max volume until the engine is shut off and cools down.

The Permanent Solution: What I'm looking for...

My friend that works on cars and audio systems thinks it's a shorted fuse...but that doesn't explain how heating the engine magically allows them to be happy...so...any ideas on what it may be?

Check your battery and charging system.

a loose battery wire would do that.. it would get enough juice for lower volumes and wouldn't be able to provide enough juice for higher loads

A bad battery/alternator would do it too

Check all your connections then stop by Autozone and have them put the battery tester on it.

I do know that one of the receptors on my battery is worn down to the point that it just slides right off...so that's probably the issue. I'll just take it to the dealership cause it's been like that ever since I got it (the receptor that is) so they should fix it under my bumper to bumper warranty.

I have a similar problem. My driver side door speaker will go out and come back on when going over bumps. I think it's the mini Bose amplifier crapping out that connects directly for the speaker. Anyone have a similar situation?

My driver side speaker works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't work. I found out that if i hit the speaker cover on the door, it will turn back on for a few seconds. Also the rear speaker on the left side (same as driver side) is somehow connected to the front speaker because if i turn the fade all the way to the front/left, the left rear speaker is still playing. Any solutions before i start tearing apart the dash? OH BTW its a 2004 Bose System.

You're not listening firedude!

He says "if i hit the speaker cover on the door, it will turn back on for a few seconds."

.....you know, where the relay is!

.....in the door!

What part of this are you missing????

I don't know. Maybe I should make a few new topics about it.
