Question For a sub amp - 2CH bridged or mono?...

I've been researching amps for a sub (JL 10W3v2) and it seems you can get more watts/$ by using a 2-channel amp bridged. It's not a huge $ difference, but is a mono amp worth the extra $? I'm looking for about 300W. I have an average ear. Would I even be able to tell the difference?

Thanks! I've read a lot of your posts and appreciate your wisdom.

Have you completed your 8" sub in the cabin install?

I don't have time to eat on some days because I am so busy. I'm serious! If you sold half a million dollar+ houses you'd understand why you want to stay busy. The potential is incredible.

I really do need to get back on that. If I could take one full day, I could finish it. The hard part is finding the time.

BTW: I don't know if you have seen eXentric's threads about Twisted Interiors doing some work for him. Twisted Interiors is my friend John's shop. It is where I am slowly working on the 8" box. John knows his stuff and can build damn near anything. There were some people here that were concerned about his credibility but I will fully endorse him.

JL amps

The one new thing I have learned about amps is having a remote in the car to control bass level is a must have for me. I have a JL system and love it. Try demoing one of these adjustable amps and you will hear the difference. Hope this helps Mark.

Yeah, my system in my Passat has a subwoofer level control at the HU. I was wondering how to do this with the 8's factory HU. Then I read about remote control! I don't change settings very often, but it sure is nice to be able to do it easily.
