so the time has come...

to completely rip out the stock audio system, its the bose system so i decided on 6.5" speakers in the front with brackets and keeping 6x9 size in back. so what id like is some suggestions on 4 chan amps and speakers, preferably components in the front and i dont care component or not in the rear, ive already got 2 12" cvrs on a 900 watt amp in the trunk so bass from the cabin speakers isnt as necessary as if there were no subs

Like I've been telling everyone on here.... get out there and listen to as many component sets as you can. Use the same track, amp, and headunit settings if you can.

You don't have a location listed, so if you live out in the country or some place that doesn't have any decent shops around..... yeah.... you're kinda stuck with our recommendations and hoping for the best. LOL
How much you looking to spend on the component set and 6x9s? 50 cents? $1,500?

I haven't heard them before, but the Type-X line is Alpine's top end. I'm sure they're quality. Again though, make sure you know what all the settings on the headunit are, how much power is being pushed to them, and even ensure the bitrate of the music playing is the same. Use the same CD everywhere you go if possible. Very true, they'll sound different once in your car, but the idea is to sort out the junk while on the showroom floor.

I have installed and heard the Type-S component set several times. Wasn't impressed. But please note the Type-S is TWO lines lower in quality.
