singnal wire help

i want to a system in my rx8 like i had in my tc. I have a amp and im going to build another smaller box and buy a sub soon. my question is how can i hook up the signal and amp-turn on wires? I guess i have to use a line out converter. should i splice the line out converter wires into the harness coming off the back of the hu? And how would i wire the amp turn on?

Personally I use a soldering iron to hook up all my connections.
