I must be missing something here. I called Dension and was told they do not have an Ice Link for the RX 8. Went to my local Best Buy and was told the same thing. Is there some other model ( BMW,VW ,Ford) that everyone is installing? Would like to find out where to purchase the correct RX8 model.

Thanks

denison had so many problems with the icelink and the RX-8 they are not officially supporting it

to get the same setup they were selling if you are willing to struggle through the setup and possible glitches is buy the icelink for Alpine M-bus system then get a PIE adaptor

Has anyone used or thought of using the Icelink source selector to connect an Ipod & Sirius? Is there enough room to hide both units?

As I mentioned elsewhere; there is a suggestion that the 10.01 firmware, perhaps only in the Euro cars (RDS tuners I think would be the major difference here), could have problems with external sources via the CD changer port. Until more is known about it, that's all there is to say - Mazda mucked about with the firmware and devices may or may not work.

I think you'd want a downgrade; 9.55 seems to be commonly associated with succesful operation.

Hi guys

I'm in the Uk trying to fathom whether I can use the IceLink kit on my 2006 RX-8, firmware 9.8. I'm not getting any response from Dension. Their website says that they do support it, but I'm reading a whole load of conflicting stories and getting really confused. Has anyone in Europe got this working or know if this effects compatibility?

Thanks,

Mike

Any updates? I see a lot of these comments were posted last year.....has Dension/Neo fixed all these issues or are people still having problems with the units shipping currently.

And I ahve read a few threads about the Advanced AuxMod w/ text display...a lot of those are from a few months ago saying it should be released shortly. Is it already out?

Auxmod Advanced is not yet out. I got a message this week syaing they hoped to have models ready for sale in May. Although every month they keep pushing the date to the next month due to problems acquiring certain connectors necessary for the product.

Old thread but I thought its the best place to add my q's here.
I just got a used icelink v2 and it seems to be missing a wire harness or connector to the factory HU, the blue connector. the previous owner says he used the PIE mod connector with the icelink, but the PIE mod I'm using does not fit the icelink. its a slightly larger connector.

Is there anyother way I can connect to the HU? I don't mind soldering the pins directly to the PIE harness, if somebody can give me the layout of the wires from the icelink to the HU.
I've contacted dension but they only tell they discontinued.
Thanks

Reset Ipod

I had the unit working perfectly in my car for the past 3 years but resently bought a new car battery and had no power in the car for 5-10 minutes. Once the battery was installed the radio cannot access the Ipod. It is like it wasn't even connected. You hit the CD button twice but it stays on CD. Does any one know what else may be involved? The kit was installed by a Mazda dealer. I have yet to talk to them. On one website it says that the kit comes with a cd that plays nothing and the radio automatically switches over to the Ipod connect. Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks

I'm not trying to knock this product at all..... but what does this have that the Audiolink doesn't? Aside from the high price tag?
