Roll Bar/Racing seat install
That was caught at tech inspection, but you are correct they should go through again.
I'm bumping your old thread dude.
I'm at that point where I'm going to move forward with my roll bar, and I researched the Autopower and witnessed it first hand in your car. But, I don't want to drill holes in my floorboard and fender wells. I would rather weld the dang thing in there permanent. I never plan to use the rear seats again. In fact, the last time somebody rode back in them was 2007.
So, the question is how are the bolts holding up? And what type of bolts did you use? I would think that would now become the weak link in this design.
PS: For those curious, I am 6'1" and was able to ride in the modified OMP passenger seat and not hit the roof with my big helmet.

Bolts are fine..so is the floor Its all about how you seal the holes and undercoat it. I used grade 8 bolts...overkill but they were cheap enough..only needed 16 anyway.
Weld in its much more difficult. You have to gut the interior do it doesnt burn. Likely stronger..but more than I needed

If you want one welded in go get one custom fabricated. It'll only cost a little bit more and it'll be way stronger and the harness bar will be the perfect height. Not to mention you can get more bars welded in for extra safety and chassis stiffening. That's what I'm doing.
