Unhappy Rockford amp and 6x9 install ?'s

Bought an amp off craigslist its a rockford fosgate 500a2, should do 125x2 at 4 ohms rms and 250x2 at 2 0hms rms. Wondering if hooking that to two pioneer 6x9 5-ways would make sense in the rear tray. I have the speakers hooked to the Bose amp right now and I've been looking for an amp that will work with the aftermarket 4ohm ( not the bose 2 ohm 6x9's ). The 5-ways are 400 peak and I think 80-100 RMS. I can see the difference in RMS watts but would that blow the speakers or would it be fine? Not exactly sure how to wire them in either so any help with wiring would be appreciated. Looking at replacing the stock tweeters in the door pods as well, theres a post on here about that helping the sound system quite a bit. I have some 1 inch infinity kappa tweeters with crossovers I've never used and maybe they'd work in there just fine? Lots of questions, I've been reading on this site for a long time and just became a member so a big THANKS to everyone for all the DIY threads. I've got the filled mounts now, and a few other things - Dana

Attached is my GT TiG 2004 Rx8, with a seibon carbon trunk, MSR style 044 black chrome wheels, veilside mint rear bumper, red calipers (need the white MAZDA decals), and whatever else I can't remember.

Those tweeters will work fine. Install away.

If you'd like to power those 6x9's with that Rockford amp, go for it. The difference in wattage isn't that big of a deal. It's all a ballpark. Just don't get wild with the gain.

Smile Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply, I'm hoping to get the tweets in tomorrow before work and figure out how to connect the amp in the back without too much hassle.
