roady 2 with PIE adapter and it works!

I followed the info on this thread and went with the Delphi roady 2 and the PIE adapters. Works great, and I love the Roady2. It has multicolor displays to match the car, and doesn't have an external FM modulator box to hide in the glove box or under the dash. I put the PIE box under the drivers side knee panel area, cable tied to a brace so it's easy to access if need be.

I put the Roady2 on the center console with Velcro, right in front of the seat heaters.
The only thing I had to do was notch the black plastic of the center console a littel bit to allow the wires to pass under and out of sight. It's pretty clean looking, and no permanent damage that a 2nd buyer would not like.

Thanks to all for the information and links to purchase the stuff to do this. I've very happy with the sound quality as a direct connection. It wasn't terrible as FM modulated, but it's definitely better as a direct link.

Volume too low from Roady2 and PIE?

I installed my Roady2 with the PIE adapter as well. Unfortunately, the signal level coming out of the Roady2 isn't very strong. I have to crank up the volume all the way on my head unit and it's still hard to hear. If I change the volume level on the roady2 (in the menu) the signal gets crappy (hisses and pops). Anyone solved this problem?

On the other hand, I split the PIE inputs so that I could run my iPod as well and it works great!
