My light were staying on too. All I did was tighten the connection and they were fine.

Phew..at least you got it solved! I think that's the direction and conclusion that myself and RR were coming to. It almost had to be that!

Before you even hook them up to anywhere................take a simple 9v battery and test them. Just hold the red wire to the positive side of the 9v battery and the red/black to the negative, and they will light up. 9v is enough to turn them on even though they will be dim. If you do this correctly and they light up, then when you installed them you either.........got the wrong wires spliced, or they simply aren't making contact in the wire splices.

Mine worked great. I just couldn't get 'em to go off when the doors were shut!

ok so i dont have RR's footwell lights but i have the same problem as GR8 but, mine wont go off. Where exactly are you supposed to wire them... where exactly are the wires above the dead pedal, because im obviously not splicing the right ones, anyone have any pics? ill post some of mine tommorow if i dont get it to work by then...

Hey guys im having the same problem. All my lights are working fine, but the RR footwell lights are not coming on. Here is a pic.
Are they not the right wires?

Are you sure you squeezed the splices hard enough? I know mine took one hell of a squeeze to actually work.
