hey guys. i just got my rx8 (in just one week). i wanna know if there is anything i can do to the navigation system (firewire crack, maybe?) that will let me see DVD movies.

 

yes, right now you'll need a unit that basically hacks into the LCD screen, it runs 400-500 range, then you need to buy a DVD player. Do a search, a few members have gone this route - and done stuff like play station 2 in the truck.... using the PS2 remote control (wireless) to play movies.

 

do a search on Avelectronics.

its a very easy mod.. and cost more like 700 bucks if you want all the bells and whistles..

I live in Greece and I don't know if the garages here know what their doing or even have what they need to do it. So what I need is a DVD player and a unit that connects it to the LCD, right? I want to know who did this and give tell me how so I can get an idea to give the people who are gonna do it for me an idea on what they got to do or how to do it so please, tell me what exactly u bought and did. Thanks
