Nav System is Lost
Hello everyone, I have a nav system and I recently had my car shipped to Boston from California. When I turned the car on in Boston, my nav system thinks it's still in california. I drove it for a couple hours and I move on the map, however the curser is still in cali. I tried taking the DVD out for a while and putting it back in later and that didnt help, I also tried inputting a local address however it gave me directions from california to boston. Any idea how to fix this???
Thanks

It says north american disk. If there was a spererate disk for the northeast, it wouldnt give me step by step directions on how to get from southern california to boston. I think i just need a way of resetting the nav system so it searches for the sattalites again and figures out where it is. Anyone else

There is one disk. Just go to set up menu/Vehicle position and change the vehicle position then make sure your in an area with clear view of sats and drive around for about 20 minutes.

Okay, I figured this out!!!!!!!
Go to Menu.....System Setup......Vehicle Position: Now use the zoom key to zoom out as far as you can go. Now you can see the whole United States. Use the joystick to move your position to where you actually are. Start zooming in until you find the road you are on, then press enter. The next screen is which direction you are pointing, use the joystick to move the arrow until it is pointing the direction you are going. Press Enter.
Now that the system knows your approximate location it can look for the correct satellites. If it thinks you are in New York it will be looking for a different set of satellites and will take a long time to figure out where it is.
I hope this helps everybody.
