Looking for reliable clear corner LEDs

I have clear corners, and have had them for a while.

I started out with rx8strakes LEDs, they worked for a while, but one started blinking and flashing just a few months in. Then I switched to V-LEDs flank LEDs... since I've had 3 go out in one socket, but one in the other never have a problem.

Needless to say I'm tired of the inconsistency. Does anyone have a good recommendation of LEDs to try that are are reasonable price, and it'd be ideal if they were close to 6000K color temp.

Any advice is appreciated.

i'm gonna go ahead and suggest these: http://www.stealthauto.com/Products/...ALTHBULBS.aspx

I had the 194 size in my side markers for 3 years before it failed due to water leakage. I recently switched to vled leds but that was only because it was during a time they had a coupon running and i was already ordering led tails, so i figured i would give it a shot.

The stealth bulbs looked really clean and gave out a clean orange light when lit, and were invisible when off.

Well I'm actually looking for the white LEDs. Some say 'super white'.... But they are 6000K color temp. I mean anything close would work. But the ones I have suck for how much they cost.

That sucks; I've never heard of V-LED's going out that badly, i've turned to them as the 'reliable' brand of LED's. Are you sure something isn't wrong with that specific harness?

It's possible... But I haven't done anything to it... I mean what could even be wrong with it? It works, then they go out later. Never to work again. Usually there are brown spots on the LEDs like they've gotten to hot and burned a resistor or something. Any suggestions on how to check the socket is working properly?

And like I said the other side I've never had a problem with. So idk.

I'm sure there are others that could offer a better suggestion for checking the socket/harness, but i'm sure using a standard multimeter couldn't hurt. Or better yet get a replacment bulb, and switch the harness and see which side burns out.

ive had my VLEDs over a year with no problems so if these new bulbs go out its probably the wiring harness...maybe try a load resistor

check to make sure you're not leaking in your side marker. I've had two fail over the years, one from a crack around the area the socket seals to the other cracked along the sonic weld between the lens and the back half. First time was easy to spot since there was water collecting in the marker but the second one was only caught when i held it up to a light and saw the water marks on the inside of the lens.

I have one side that goes out way more than the other, too, but all my VLEDs have been consistently inconsistent. I ordered and/or got free replacements four times, and every time I even had a couple that were dead right out of the package. It's a shame because they were nice and white and at a good price. The last ones I got off of eBay are kind of bluish, which I don't like on my VR.
