I prefer the expression "matte" rather than dull. I use matte black on my tires as well. But of course a high gloss on the exterior paint.

Don't ever put a shiny product on your dashboard. The glare is a killer (literally and figuratively).

I personally like shiny. I used the Armorall wipes once on the interior dash, and dear god it was bright in sun-light. Sure, I get glare, but I feel so sparkly!

+1!!! Matte is much more elegant. The matte looks nice to me as well.

Wow...talk about a dead heat. 8 to 8.

When I first picked up the 8, it had a very clean matte (not dull ) finish. I am just so use to using the shiny stuff in my vdub.

Guess I'll stick with the matte for now and see what's what.

Thanks everyone.

^ exactly. That's why for example I go with Griot's leather conditioner rather than the Meguair's wipes. Nice non-greasy matte finish. I use Griot's tire conditioner for the same reason.

Went with the matte look, what an excellent choice and one other convenient side effect...it was WAY easier for me. When using the shiny stuff I have to be all careful not to hit the vents, the radio facia, etc. With the matte wipes I could be a little less diligent and it still turned out great. Wonder how my DUB will look all matted out...

Thanks.

303 or Sonus Eclipse, Both have the same type of matte finish. Both also have a good amount of UV protection to keep the interior plastics looking and feeling new.
