Ok, this is a fairly easy install. What you need is a Line Output Converter. These convert the signals coming from the head unit to a line level signal that can go to the RCA inputs on your amp. I used the Navone NE774V 4 channel to get signal to my system, but you only need a 2 channel if all you are going to run is subs.

What you can do is tap the Line Output Converter at the rear speakers. The rest is basic installation of the amp/subs. Run power wire from battery and ground to the trunk. Signal RCAs from the Line Converter to inputs on the amp and speaker wire from the amp to subs.

You will also need a remote turn on for your amp. I prefer to use one of those "add a fuse" things from any auto parts store. It is just easier to run the wire from the fuse box in the drivers side footwell since you can just pull up the door sill and have a clean path.

You should also check the sticky thread at the top of this forum for the audio install reference guide.

I installed my line outs over a week ago. The battery and ground are not an issue, but I haven't been able to figure out where to run my remote off of I figured the acc. Unfortunately after looking at the schematics and wire harness the color somehow isn't there??? I'm not sure what an add a fuse is but I'll look into it... Let me know if I'm doing something wrong (I have the Bose system)

For base stereo's anyone who has done even the most cursory of searches should know that the rear cigarette lighter is a switched 12v line.

For those with bose stereo's there is a much better remote line to use built right into the wiring harness but I'll be damned if I'm going to spoon feed you that info. It's available in the stickies.

Where's the suicide smiley when you need him? I wish you had to pay a quarter per new topic on here.... but searching/answering is free. We need some kind of idea here....

the yellow/white and pink/black wires are hot only when the key is in the acc mode (Bose amps inputs) Use either of them for your remote.

Or maybe it's time the audio reference sticky be updated? There's a lot of info throughout the thread... but nobody wants to pour through it to find it. Astral still posts here right? Maybe we can bribe him to do some updating with our help. And I'd honestly edit the title of the sticky too. Something like "YOUR ANSWER IS HERE! READ THIS BEFORE MAKING TOPIC!"

Then 3 day ban for anyone posting a topic that was answered in the first post of the sticky!

lol while i agree that something as simple as the remote tap should be searched, I have always used the cigarette lighter, just cut into the power right before the socket. But thats me. Always worked fine.
