Well...considering all of my music is encoded at 256 or above, yes I own all of my music, I am not loosing much audio data. By messing with the EQ I am bringing up the low end of the dynamic range and not over saturating anything. I am not looking to "rattle" my nuts at all...I was looking to fill out the music properly by enhancing the highs and lows slightly while keeping the mids the same. Which...actually reproduces the music as it was intended/recorded.
