HELP!!! DIY went wrong... Accidentally cut a wire.

I am running a wire through firewall for my CarPC.
The hole that I drilled was an inch away from OEM wires.

Somehow I manage to damage those cable.
(May be during trying to push a new wire through firewall with a screw driver )

One is totally cut out. It was violet with yellow stripe.
Other, I have no idea. I cant see.

I started my 8 and it was running with no CEL. All lights are working.

What is that violet with yellow stripe wire is for?
The area there is too tiny, how can I fix it?

Thanks,
Tony

Further inspection.

I cut out two.
Violet w/ yellow stripe
Green w/ white stripe

I am really out of luck today.
Never had any DIY accident before.

I have no idea what they do - I would just solder them back together with a patch cable if necessary - and sssshhhhhh you did disconnect the battery when you were shorting out the wires didn't you?

for future reference, you can easily run wires through the firewall on the passenger side behind the washer bottle

Easiest way to fix it is to find the wires on the other side of the firewall...and run a new section that you can solder and heat shrink on both ends

You definitely created a bit of a make work project with that screwdriver

It's probably for the flux capacitor..

Looks like the

V/Y goes from the A/C Amplifier to the Air Mix Actuator/Air Flow Mode Actuator

G/W goes from the Audio Unit to the Audio Control Switch

This is probably in the interior harness so not likely.

There is also a V/Y & G/W that goes from the ABS HU/CM to the ABS Wheel Speed Sensor LR (Left Rear??) Maybe more likely....

If I knew how I would post the wiring diagram I have but it is 6mb in size. I could email it to you if you like. I am no mechanic, just happen to have a manual.

Thanks a lot. I might go to a mechanic.
I just dont like to work in that area. Too small....
Instead of patching them, I might cut another one.

Thanks a lot. I have wiring diagram too. I will look in to it.

However, I just move the car (raining).
ABS light show-up after I press break couple time.
I think one of it might be for ABS system.

only if they're 8 gauge or smaller. 4 gauge will not fit.

If you cannot reconnect the wires yourself. take it to a mechanic and have them do it.

Avoid driving to the mechanic if possible.

That sucks dude. Thats one of my worst nightmare from doing my stereo install.

I think he meant without drilling.

And a patch cable is, by far, your easiest solution. You have enough slack to solder on the engine bay side, then run the wires through the existing hole you made. Find those wire in the bundle on the inside of the car. You should be able to pull on them and all the extra slack will come right to you. (since one end is cut) Solder in your patch cable. Move on.

Indeed. I thought lurch meant squeezing wires through the AC line holes.

Can anyone verify this for me?

G/W is for parking break.
V/Y is for break position (ABS system)

I dont know how to read wiring diagram. Self learning.... not sure if correct.
