Head Unit Interference

Anyone ever have this problem before?

I just recently had my Blose head unit replaced under warranty. Now the dealer is having to replace it again because the unit is defective.

It sounds like the radio has a static tick like a clock would tic-tok, this even comes thru when listening to cd. Not only that, if i spin the volume ****, it sounds like an ipod click wheel!

On top of all that, my nav open and tilt buttons now beep. Is this a trait of 05 & up head units? (I have an '04)

Sounds like they are installing a regular stock headunit into your Bose system. It has happened several times here on the board. Maybe the item descriptions are poor at the dealer?

Makes sense, just got off the phone with the dealer, they go by the VIN #.... so whoever pulled the unit off the shelf didnt bother to check the numbers I guess.
Morons. Its so funny how 10 secs of extra time spent can save a month of work.

but I have the AudioLink function. non-bose have that? maybe i just got a crap head unit.
