Grom vs AuxMod?

Anything between them? I doubt I'd use the BT functionality of the Grom for music, but other than that, are there any significant differences? Only $10 difference in price. I searched and didn't see much in the way of comparison.

Though I've never personally used either, you're not comparing apples to apples really. The AUXmod is ONLY a 3.5mm headphone jack style input. The Grom can use the 30-pin Apple iPod connector. This is going to transfer higher quality audio to your headunit, keep your iPod charged...AND (unsure specially about the GROM) many of these adapters transfer data to the amber display AND keep steering wheel control functionality. Again, I really don't have personal experience with the GROM. But they use two entirely different methods of connection. The actual iPod connection being superior in just about every way.

As for A2DP,

I will also second that audio streamed via bluetooth WILL NEVER be as good as a hardwired connection. Just a follie of the bluetooth beast.

I have the grom with bluetooth and you loose very little if any audio quality over bluetooth. In fact I prefer to connect with bluetooth over the cable. You need a ground loop isolator to eliminate the annoying ground interference sound.
I have full use of all steering wheel controls, I can stream off pandora, etc.

Works great on both iphone and android phones!

Is the GLI only needed for the BT connection or do you need it for all of its connections?

Hm, sounds good, I'm not an audiophile and the factory Bose isn't great anyway and I love the convenience of not having to mess with wires. Grom it is.

Adding a subwoofer made a nice difference to the bose system.
I have a 12" infinity kappa perfect running 700 watts. I love it.
you need a digital line output converter though.

Did you have to do anything special to add the sub? I like the stock system well enough, but adding a full size subwoofer would make it perfect.

Search how to wire it up to the amp.

It's also in the FAQ at the top of the forum.

Side note, it's not digital.

Just went to order and realized the BT functionality is an additional $50, does the iPod cable also need a GLI?
