G0t M4xx 21's custom install - clear Lexan Amp Rack
All righty, last weekend was a very busy weekend for me, finishing up my full custom A/V project.
It started off with installing a modded Xbox under my seat, which I use as a carputer, and an A/V server, and a 7 inch screen where the ashtray normally goes.
Later, I replaced the rear 6x9's with a pair of Infiniti Reference speakers.
Finally, I have installed TWO Soundstream Van Gogh Amps (one for the single Dayton 12" Sub, the other for those Infiniti rear speakers), a 1 farad capacitor, and fully hidden wiring through the trough under the door panel.
The Amps are in the divot in the trunk, mounded to a frosted Lexan plate. the bottom plate then has 5 standoffs to hold up the top plate, which protects the amps from whatever I put in the truck, and serves as a mount for the two fans, the capacitor, and a 12" red CCFL light.

A 7 inch screen is such a tight fit that I just dremeled away part of each side of the opening to fir the screen in there, and jsut let friction hold the screen in, there were no mount points for the screen since I had to remove the screen and its circuit board from its housing. The bezel just bolted on after the screen, and has the screen's controls mounted on it (power, menu, "+", "-", status LED, and the IR receiver for the remote.)
Here's some more screen pics:

No, they are both 4 gauge
Also, you can't really see it form the pics, but that Audiobahn cap is kinda rotor shaped, just a nice little touch.
