Firmware 9.50 what options do I have?

I cannot use the auxmod for a usb drive and I don't want an ipod, so what other products will work that will let me use a usb drive and have a 1/8 input?

Your probably going to have to get your HU flashed to a newer firmware. The only addon that I am aware of that doesn't requite a specific firmware is the Mazda I-Pod input.

If you are going to use an iPod and the Mazda adapter, you probably don't have to get your HU reflashed. What firmware do you have?

You should probably check with Mazda to be sure, but I have not seen a limitation on the firmware for the Mazda unit. BTW, what was the production date for your 8?

No, that's the PIE adapter.
The AuxMod emulates a tape player and it is compatible with any RX-8 headunit firmware.

If I do this, I will have Firmware 9.67 and be able to use the AudioLink?

Would a dealer be able to do this if I asked?
