My wife yells at me anytime my brain works, this thread has cracked me up listening to Dutch build and build on his first simple idea. Although most of my ideas end up in absorbing a lot of voltage

doesn't it already do this? one press makes the beep beep noise...double press and it honks the horn.

 

Uh, mine doesn't beep on the first press. I hear nothing. Second press honks the horn.

 

hmmm...I guess I mostly use the button on the door handle to lock it and not the actual remote. When I press that button it makes the beep. My remote doesn't have much range so I barely use it but i believe it does make that beep when I lock/unlock it.

 

all the new model 8's do the beep/chirp thing but I dont have the advanced keyless entry system with the button on the door. i didnt even get the switchblade key so with that said my car never came with the nice little beep for unlock and lock

 

I tried the remote to lock the car this morning...one press is the beep. second press is the horn. I have an 06 GT.

 

Is there anything new on this? BUMP

 

i want the beep sound with my 04 8. , i changed to switchblade key, all i need is the beep sound or maybe auto window roll down and up?

 

I'd be interested if the auto windows/sunroof up/down function is in the final build. I'd, infact, rather NOT have the beep. I have old neighbors I don't need to be waking up at 2 and 3 in the morning.

 

What ever happen to this?!?!?!?

 

Like I said on page one, it 'sounded' like a good idea, but the simple 'beep' got lost in microprocessors and operating systems long ago.
