so this is the 3rd week of owning an RX-8, and since day one the cd player had not worked. I have an 04 with 6disc in dash player and bose. so i took it out today to see if it was jammed, well turns out someone evidently had some sort of aux hook up. I need help identifying what type of aux hook up its suppose to be or if anyone has any idea of what to do. Thanks in advance! below is a pic of the plug-ins and it also has the black box next to my hand.

First, you're posting in the Series II section. You have an 04 and should be posting in the Series I section. Just saying you might get more help there...

But that box doesn't look like anything I know right off hand. Not the Dice unit, Icelink, or Xcarlink (formally Audiolink). The plugs looks like they plug into something aftermarket. Not the headunit. I don't know man. Any other pictures?

To switch gears.......The radio works? Maybe buy an iPod kit and see if it works. Return it if it doesn't. Then replace the headunit with aftermarket.
