Remove front grille

Is removing front grille from stock '04 bumper possible?? If yes , how is it done?

If you remove the front bumper...have a look at the back...grill comes out easily

lmao, exactly.... I wanna see how its going to look without , possibly want to do black powder coated mesh grille.

^ Did you remove the foam? Other wise you will have white dirty foam showing through.

The only problems with removing the grill is that you will have to support the middle of the bumper. As you can probaly see I have zip ties coming down from the big bar and holding up the middle part, also it isnt very easy to attach this stuff.

And yes I did remove the foam, if someone wants they could paint it black but I think its better looking just to remove it and paint the metal bar black considering it will be your car color.

Ive done this myself, but was wondering if i installed an AEM cold air intake if id get any problems with water? being i live in london and all it does is rain!

I thought about doing this when i first got my 8. thanks for the motivation. I'm gonna use different mesh though.

I am really thinking about doing this... what is the grill made of and how did you make it black? Is it powder coated? I tried painting the aluminum vent covers on my hood black and the paint is already starting to chip after 2 months...

Sounds like a possible mod for my series one, to add an additional oil cooler.

this is how mine came out after removing mine, removing the foam, painting the crash bar black, installing mesh which i also painted black, and putting it back together

Some here have been known to call duct tape....Home Depot Racingjust wondering what they would call "Zip Ties" installed on the 8?...LOL.

I have it done too, but my lip in messed up so i have like 15 zipties on my bumper for the lip and the god damn undercover, lol. i love the look though, it just looks ghetto with all the zipties, lmao. I think ima go grille-less when i get my aftermarket bumper
