I got 194 VLED's in just about every damn location you can think of(and maybe some you haven't).
I do notice a slight flicker on the doors but only for an instant.
All others(including maps) are okay.

As much as we all hate SPAM E-mail, go to the site and sign-up for the news letter!
Unfortunately, it seems I get my newsletter announcing a sale two days after I drop alot of cash!

Yep, I knew about the last sale before it came out, but could've saved about $30.00 if I had waited just a few more days.

Oh, you can also E-mail them on the site and ask if they plan any up coming sales, they are pretty good at responding.

That is because of the power continuity module.
It pulses the ground connection ever so slightly.
You can put some electrolytic caps across the circuit to reduce the strobing effect, which is actually detrimental to some LED assemblies, anyway.

Then I tapped a second, longer set of wires into the first (near where they were tapped into the car's wiring) and ran that second pair behind the center consol. I wrapped the pairs in electrical tape and used pinch on quick connectors on the ends so everything is somewhat tidy. Nothing is tapped into the wiring from the LEDs, just added the other ends of the quick connector to the them.

I did the second set much the same way, just tapping into the ashtray light.

As far as wiring up a switch, that should be easy, but I haven't done it so I can't give you instructions. The 6" red LEDs aren't distractingly bright though, and if you connect them to the ashtray light like I did, you can use the car's dimmer **** to adjust the brightness.
Awesome info Aipex, really appreciate all the help. I know there's tons of threads on how to wire the footwell lights up but I like exactly what you did. Very clever.

Any luck on those pictures though? My bad for the late response, just got back from Afghanistan last week and they've been working us to death so I've had no time for anything besides swapping a few of the 194 bulbs. I did notice one of the parking lights went out a few hours after putting it in so I pulled it back out (The front left unfortunately which is a bitch to get to) and found the solder on one side of the LED broke off somehow and separated the contact points. Ever have that happen to you? Think I maybe hit it while putting it back in?

Thanks again for all the help dude.
Ryan

I had my first foglight go yesterday. They were on there for maybe 5 days. Should I just get another one and not put resistors in or should I go with resistors anyone?

You shouldn't need any kind of resistors. I've had my fogs in for a long time and never had any problems.

crap... i thought the corner lights were the DRLs in Canada but like months after I actually stared at my own car and I realized that the DRLs are next to the corner lights...

Do you American owners have a bulb right next to the corner lights? and what did you do/change it to?

i might just figure out how to disable them completely...

red interior

I just bought a 2005 red RX8 but would like to change all the interior lights to red plus maybe a few led strips. What bulbs do I need?

^...try reading?

If that doesn't work, then try searching....... use "bulb list", there is a thread with all bulbs and sizes listed! Jeez!

Took me 30 seconds to find.................. https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ight=bulb+list

i might be calling them the wrong thing, but the lights in the corner (in your pic, left side of pic, the light in the black tube thingy)

in canada, the DRL is the light to the right of the "corner light"
what does it do in the states, and did you change them?

Okay, we call those parking lights, and yes I changed them. They are 194's.

I used http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/C...81133-1-2.html

They are the same as used in this thread, but here is my thread which is a little shorter and may answer more of you question.

Maz, have you given their HID kits a shot? (full w/ ballast). Just wondering how they compare to other kits (35w v 55w v rpmstore). Might be worth it with the sale

i think we misunderstood each other...
im talking about the lights NEXT TO the parking lights
the lights BETWEEN the parking lights and the headlights
im guessing that they're your highbeams

in canada they're dual filament, DRL and high beams...
doesn't look like you changed them...

seeing as how v-leds is having a sale (Thanks Mazufer) I think it's time to swap out some more bulbs.

I currently am running stealth bulbs in the turn signals but am thinking of switchign to the 48 leds: http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/P...-p4835732.html
I see Aipex has a similar bulb (I think the 24?). Any thoughts on running these up front? Any tips / pics / diy's for the load resisters?

I'm assuming two of these should do the trick? http://www.v-leds.com/BlinkerWarning...-p5679822.html

Munchy, in Canadian cars the high beams double as DRLs (run at lower voltage). That bulb is an H9 and V-LEDS doesn't sell an LED H9.

H9 and H11 bulbs have very similar bases though. It's not uncommon for people to modify the brighter H9 bulbs to fit in H11 housings. I'm sure you could probably do the oposite and run an H11 bulb in your H9 socket. Keep in mind you will lose your high beams though.

Jedi, yep, two of those load resistors will do the trick. I don't have a pic but they are super easy to install. Install them in the back right next to the taillight.
