was watching the rolex series today and noticed an rx8 with a custom led tail, not sure but I thought it was speedsource rx8. the brake light lights up as a ring right where the reflector is!

but anyways it looked real nice. anybody else seen it?

would like to do this diy but I'll need some electronic lessons first

 

^^ are you talking about the clearcorners.com Led tails lights? Kind of matches your description i think.

 

wow those actually looks way better than what I saw, cost a fortune though

the one I saw was tail/brake 2 stage led in a ring, no lights in the center.

I'm planning on getting those pre-made led halo rings and stick it inside the taillight.

someone should try installing leds in the headlight where theres 2 fins, like the taillights. I'm sure someone has extra or broken taillight assembly to scavenge those red led fins, replace it with amber or white. unless someone already said that.

 

just went to the clearcorners.com web site holy **** 2k for tail lights. i cant even type the frist thing that poped in my mind when i saw the price.
