MS Bodykit info........newbie!
Want the MS kit sideskirts, front, and rear bumpers. Where is the best\cheapest place to buy it? Please don't say from mazdaspeed.com!
Also, self install?

try those vendors on top. Click on mazdaparts.com and you have your answer. It's okay to post newbie questions, but try exploring the site a little bit, and if you can't find it then make a thread about it and someone will help you out. But normally a little clicking here and there will find your answer.

I'm with Swoope........ there's nothing cheap about the real MS kit, but you get what you pay for. I installed mine myself and had absolutely NO fitment issues and the paint matched 100%.

I was at a body shop today and saw an 8 there getting a replica kit put on. I ask the installer about it and he said the guy paid 1,000 for the kit and the fittment was so poor that they were charging him 2,500 for the install. That is worth the real MS kit right there. The only issue I have about the MS is the sides. The 3M tape didn't hold so well, and had I known that before I did the install then I would have reinforced it then.

Lets not have any illusions, the "genuine" Mazdaspeed kit does have its share of quality problems. The side skirts have problems of separating off the body (clips breaking and tape not holding). When you get the front nose be sure to tighten the middle grill and make sure the clips with the double-sided tape are actually tightly in place, use pliers to clamp the metal "twisties" snug through the mesh. I didn't do any of that when I first got it and I recently had to remove the bumper and fix the mesh that had come loose. Small gaps can happen with the back rear under spoiler as well, not much you can do if it turns out like that. And several people have had issues with the MS wing, a small gap between the trunk and lower portion of the wing on the right side. And if you have the dealer install it be sure to check and tighten all the nuts and bolts on it. One of my adjuster bolts came loose and fell out, and other people have had problems with the underneath the top portion of the wing coming out as well.
