Alright i just got off the phone with Marc, he said he will first make an OEM mold for the first batch first....... and he will make vented slots on the rotor shaped part if the customers want.

 

Alright as scheduled i dropped off my hood to Gemini this morning...

The CF hood should be ready in 1-2 weeks tops! WOOHOO!

Marc has told me that for all you faithful ppl that has shown interest in this product... if you were to put down a deposit you will get a one time special GB offer price that will not be avaliable to later sales.

Email info@geminicomposites.com and inquire about the RX-8 hood and Marc will answer all your questions about price, payments, and/or progress on the production of the CF hood.

anyone planning to go colour kevlar?

My 8 is black so i cant.... but i imagine some of you with blue or red or silver 8s will go for one..... i was taking a look at some of them yesterday when i was there to drop off my hood... god DAYAM they are HOT

i most likely wont go with a colour kevlar hood because a black car wont really go with that look....although i kind of think a silver kvlar hood would be pretty neat..

i will maybe just go with a regular weave or a V-weavw if i want to be that much more special..

 

I was lookin at the V-WEAVE ( mirror V shaped weave on both sides! ), but the only thing is that it's not Kevlar...

So I might actually go with the SILVER KEVLAR/CF hood...

It would be sick if my first choice could be kevlar...

Hey xXcfeboXx, i just got off the phone with Marc and he updated me on the progress so i thought is ohuld bring it forth to you also.

He told me the top mold is finnished and the bottom mold is going to be started tomorrow, it will be around 1 - 1.5 weeks when the first batch is ready :D

so have you decided if you are goign with a kevlar or not yet? :p
