Ok peeps i am sending off my OEM hood to Gemini CF composites to get a CF hood done for our 8s. Well for those of you that dont know about Gemini, theyre a very reputatble company here and they make amazing CF hoods which they sell here in Canada and distibute in the US. Aside from the normal CF hoods they also have a special V-weave design for their CF hoods and they also make CF kelvar hoods to your likings of orange, yellow, silver, blue...

Im not affiliated with them im just donating my hood to them to make a mold...they would like to know if you people would like an OEM style CF hood or a Mintblue ram air style that i suggested.

So let me know what you guys want and if i can get 8 ppl to be serious about this they can start production right away.

Price..... can they make a V weave in black for the RX-8 no scoop, with a skeleton so I won't have to use the pin hole latches?

A CF hood on the 8 would almost be pointless. Our aluminum hoods are pretty light

 

Most certainly they can.

But they have a couple projects on their hands right now so if there isnt 8 deposits they wouldnt start on the 8's hoods until 2 months later

It would be half payment for the deposit.

Im still in the process of getting the numbers so be patient with me.. :p

 

I can give a deposit as long as it's very high quality with finished rolled edges and pre drilled holes, with a OEM frame as a base for the hood. you can PM me with details

but same deal... i need 6-8 ppl who are commited to put down a deposit then they can make anything you want...... and in those hot colour kelvar weaves too!

Theyre in the process of making a NSX and Mini Cooper CF hood...

the RX-8 project is after those two hoods... so im looking at around 1-2 weeks time...
