I played around with some CAD software last night and did a little bit of designing. This software is available free through a site that has been mentioned on here before named eMachineShop. It allows you to design parts made out of just about any material tha can be used depending upon what physical requirements the project requires. I was able to design a mock up of the main brace of this spoiler, though I had to make a lot of guesstimates as to measurements since I do not have one....yet. However, this program also tells you what their price would be per piece depending on how many you have them make. One piece is the most expensive where as 1,000 pieces are not. I chose 10 pieces in two different types of materials (Aluminum and Stainless Steel) and the price for such wasn't that bad at all. I am thinking that if someone were to do the similar design for the two parts, and then get a "group" buy together of the purchaser's of this replicant, the price for just the brackets, less the nuts and bolts, mind you, would be around $30-40 (high estimate) for a set. The variance in price between aluminum and stainless steel was very little. If someone would send me detailed pics and measurements, I would go ahead design it and do the 3D rendering of it, grab a screen shot and then post a pic of it on here to show the nice detailing this program does. I spent a few hours learning and designing stuff on it last night as a practice. These measurements need to be fairly accurate and he pictures need to be decent so that I can place the bolt holes in the correct positions. I might suggest taking the one L shaped bracket out of the trunk lid lip part so you can get an accurate measurment and I can see it's full length. Also, I noticed by the pics that Kel took one of them has been threaded in that bracket which they also do at this place.

Yeah, thanks, Omi! I actually had that site bookmarked because I had visited there recently but hadn't looked further into it because I have been busy.

I am posting a couple of the mock up drawings right now. If they are purchased in a set of ten, just this bracket, which I oversized to dimensions of 6" X 6" because I do not know what the actual size really is, each of these brackets, in either aluminum or stainless steel, would cost about $12 each after shipping and handling. That would keep a whole set under $50 tops if I am figure right. Of course these aren't sized right and aren't set to the exact dimensions. The photos from Kel are here for comparison.

Looks like I better get to work finishing the second half of the design that I started on one night and never got back to it. I was just about to finish it and the program locked up on a request I had just put into it and I was pissed. I took Kel's tracing and actually taped it to my monitor so I could get an exact replication of it too. Argggghhhh. OK, now that that is over.

Kel, that is very sweet looking, to say the least. Now if I can only find time...strakes, back to sanding and sealing and drilling and molding and work work work.
