I think it looks better than the real one...the reason: the fake metal brackets look BETTER than the real ones because the color of the fake brackets blends in better with the spoiler and doesn't stick out like on the real ones since the real brackets are shiny

Oh and a quick question...what kind of material is used to protect the hood from the spoiler install, on my factory spoiler it looks like black rubber (about an 1/8 of an inch thick)

Also...please give us a rundown of the cost again (spoiler, shipping, include the price of the painting eventhough they didn't charge you, installation, etc.) thanks, keep up the great mods

(I'll probably talk to you more about it one AIM)

materials used where from 3M
i bought the double sided 3m black looking strip like the stock spoiler.
and the shop highly reccomended this adhessive black tar looking glue that will
hold down the rear so it wont flap with air getting thru and such.thats maybe why so many people saw there wings wobble wobble.lol

spoiler was $250+$20 shipping+i was quoted for paint around 100-150 (i didnt pay that)
an dennis is working on aluminum stands if you desire.either way i saved a arm& leg
now the only problem is i want the ms kit more and more everytime i look at the wing
im even looking at the mirrors that i was never thinking of getting.
hit me up on aim im always on

Yeah, some 3M tape and clear silicon should do the trick. Since the legs are fiberglass, are they steady enough?

And not trying to get off topic... I like the polished gas door, where did u get it? And what size are your rims and tires, diameter/ width/ and offset. They good great, nice and flush with the car with big lip. If you don't mind telling that will be great.

So does anybody know if this wing here has metal or fiberglass sides? any comment on which looks better? any reason why u wouldn't want fiberglass sides? i guess i haven't ever seen fiberglass sides, or haven't paid attention.

Oh wow...i just relooked and that's the back part of the MS kit. Man, good looking out, i just assumed it was the wing. I want it in Carbon Fiber anyway, so that makes that easier. Thanks! --Mark

I had a list for the metal brackets. Including me it was like 5 people sofar. 6 including you. I need people to spread the word for the fabricators to even want to make the brackets.

Considering the price difference, I think that looks damn good after you get it painted and taped down you shouldn't be able to tell the difference if your not an "8" owner. I would love to see some pics after it's done. Thanks for being the G.P.

These are the people who want aluminum brackets for the wing. Again, this bracket is a four piece set and should be near identical to the factory design. The metal used I believe is aircraft aluminum called a grade-2. If you live in SoCal I have a sample of the aluminum material used. The target price is $45 but I need 15 people to justify the order with the fabricators... includes CAD and machining costs etc. Sofar on the list (please update):

D Menac 7
ella7
legina
KelRX8
hushler
Said7
V300 <- myself are interested so far.

We are halfway there... unless Dennis has a machine shop that does not requires a 15 minimum order to keep the cost at $45.
