Mazda Speed Kit...
Hey guys,
Is there any website out there that has the mazda speed kit other than Mazda? I love the kit, but I'm not too sure I really want to pay the $2400 to get the full thing...
Thanks in advance

With the original Mazdaspeed body kit, you have no problems with fit and finish. They are also ready to go, as they come pre-painted to match your body color.
Check in the Vendors section for someone to supply you with the kit. The price will most likely be less than it is from your Mazda dealer.

Thanks for the help guys. Can someone give me a link to a few good vendors on here that have the exact kit for sale (not the replica)...? I guess I should go with the original really. I don't want to deal with fitment issues.
Would it look out of place if I just had the sides without the front/rear...or the front without the sides/rear? I dont want things to be too low on the side, and too high on the front (or vice versa).
Thanks guys

Has it the cheapest that I could find(so far) They are also a forum dealer so you should check out their board here.
I haven't bought mine yet since I'm still looking for a shop to install it that I can ship it to and won't charge me an arm and a leg.

I ordered a knock off of the Mazdaspeed kit from streetconcepts.com. I have heard on here that it is getting a little played out, but I like the look of it compared to the other kits. As soon as I get the kit on I will put up a post about fitment issues. It is urethane so it should be fairly durable.

Hey Mike B, how do you like your MS replica kit? I'm thinking of buying one. Do/did you have any fitment issues? How hard was it to get the shop to match the paint to rest of the car? How's the quality in your opinion? Sorry for all the questions but so far you're the only one that I've seen that has the replica.

The OEM is Meton (sp) from looking at it, its like a urethane with fiber in it to renforce it...really tough stuff.

RX-8's are all over Hawaii. I can hit the interstate and head to Waikiki and count on both hands the number of 8's I'll probably see on the way there. Not a lot of different body kits though. I will be one of the first here on Pearl Harbor with a MS look to my 8 though.

Bottom line (IMO) many have it, but the car is already so rare to see (at least where I am) that I never bump into another 8 with the MS kit.

But back on topic, I've seen the best price at onlinemazdaparts.com, and it's free s/h to the end of the year.

FWIW - I decided to go with the MS kit; mainly because of fit, and the fact that I don't have to wait for a body shop to get the paint done, or get it right. It really depends on how much time/effort/money you want to throw at it. I haven't got it yet, but I'm sure that I and a friend or two can get the bumper, side skirts and wing installed in less than a day... maybe a little more, depending on how much beer we go through....:D
I got mine from Rosenthal, (in the vendor forum), right at $2700 for the bumper, skirts, and wing.
