I'm really angry because I'm in a hurry for some very important personal matters and this fuxking dixkless son of a bitch saw me from the opposite direction and U turn and pull me over wasted me 20 minutes everybody drove by look at me like a idiot just because I have NO FRONT PLATE. anyway , I really don't want to drill holes in my bumper can anyone suggest me a way to mount it? I also took some picture for relocation, please tell me which one you think looks better

Did you consider mounting it below one of the oil coolers? Someone here has done it with an Evo plate holder:

https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-yourself-forum-73/diy-front-license-relocation-evo-plate-holder-38156/

I like that a lot—though personally I don't care for the holder. (To me, it looks too "substantial" and visually "highlights" the plate too much. I would like the plate in the same position—but mounted some other way, so that it appears to "float" there, if that makes any sense.)

How about this?

It folds down as speed increases.

Out of the five choices, I'd go with #2.

That Miata solution is interesting... I wonder if that would not get you a ticket though.

it'd be cool 2 c though! lol

yea id' go #2 as well. unlike most people, i dont really like decentering the plate. may look good on one side, but looks weird all together.

As long as it tips backwards it should be okay. Besides when a person stops it goes back to up and down

Get less hits from the Lidar gun too.

I agree Ngo decentering draws more negative attention. Like looking at abstract art a person is trying to see what is wrong with the picture.

Option 2 looks the best IMO also.

I picked up a universal plastic mounting bracket at Auto Zone for less than $5 that gives a result like #2 using the pre-tapped holes in the OEM grille. The plate sets back flush with the grille surface, entirely within the black honeycomb insert (not overlapping any body color surface). Much improved over the original bracket.

I remove the damn thing and toss it in the trunk when I leave the state (Texas) since 80% of my time is in LA and MS ("no front plate" states).
