sooo... since everyone modded theirs, you'll stand out by staying stock? i think it's actually everyone around you that stand out all together. unless you want to stand out from the people that stand out. haha. basically... yea get the clear corners dude. i put in blue bulbs instead of a stealth amber, so at night, combined with the clear corner, it lights up hyper white and matches the xenon bulbs. i did the same for the parking lights in the middle. everything matches. i likes.

 

Yeah, i was planning on changing my parking lights to some hyper white bulbs. Its wierd, it feels like the clear corners are stocker than mines. But i dont know, im so confused still...

 

Yes to clear corners in general but Blues benefit the least.
I got clear corners with stealth bulbs from mazdaparts.com for about $70US but my fist mod was strakes from rx8strakes.com.

 

This is just my own personal opinion, but I got the clear corners for my blue because I thought they looked better than the amber. I don't care who else has them, I want my baby to look its best.

 

I agree with everyone that the amber corners look crappy. Clear is better, but I would like to see some smoked corners. The amber bulbs will still shine through but will blend in with the hyper black rims I am ordering. I prefer to be subtle than all the bling.....

 

I like that idea, so i should get the clear corners but smoke them? If anyone got smoked corners, clear or what not, show some pics cause i would like to see what they look like smoked. Smoked sounds like a good option that i would do. I wonder how to go about smoking it though, i never smoked out anything before.

 

My opinion is that clear corners are good for any 8, especially black, silver, white, or titanium. Contrary to what some think, going to clears is anti-rice. For one thing, clear is the default factory color for the rest of the world. And think about it this way, if ricey mods scream "hey look at me!", then orange is ricier than white. If you want a pleasant house that blends into the neighborhood, you'd paint it white. If you wanted to stick out like an obnoxious sore thumb, you'd paint it orange.

 

mine were just delivered today ($53 includes shipping from ebay.) they were wrapped perfect and are flawless, plus have the little "japan" on them. Now i just need a warm day in NJ to put then in.

Haha, okae, you guys convinced me. My girlfriend is buying me some clear corners with stealth bulbs (still deciding) and im planning on taking out the internal reflector while im at it. One last question for you all, stealth or amber bulbs? I kinda like seeing amber within it but at the same time, it looks clean with it just being clear. Do you all have stealth bulbs or the amber ones? I want to see which is the most popular even though i probably know its the stealth. But the true jdm have amber. I dont know! THIS IS THE LAST QUESTION! I'M SORRY!! Its just that your guys' input matters to me

the stock bulbs on the corners are white. I just left those on, so my lights are white.

Ngo, isn't running on white sidemarkers illegal in the state of CA? I know my brother got caught running true clear corners with clear bulbs on his 92 prelude. Anyways, do you have any night pics of your car? I would really like to see it! I want to see how clean it looks white!

I'm on this site and I'm keeping mine amber with my Winning Blue. I guess I'm in the minority, but I like the blue/ amber combo.


So, if you see a Blue 8 without clear corners in NJ it might be me and, YES, I am a forum member.

 

I'm a forum member too, I have a Winning Blue and I like the blue/amber combo as well. I also resist the "I have to be like the rest that's why I ask their opinion on what I should do so I can be sure I fit in, am approved and one of the 'insiders' so I don't drive around insecure that I'm not" club. Colors are often enhanced by contrast and some color combinations are better than no combination.

If you think clear corners look great, buy them. If you don't, keep what you have. Either way it should be an individual decision and not the "rite of passage", "secret handshake" or any other such nonsense that determines whether you are "in the club" or not. The name of this forum says it: RX8Club and the rest is just accessories.
