Carbon fiber materials price had gone up like the crazy gas price. So VIS have increased all their carbon fiber hoods and CF lips.

We also sell the VIS OEM hood but if you could find it for $400, it's a steal !

As long as the discussion is centered around CF hoods, what are the weight savings you will see with some of these?

Anyone got this hood from Aeroworks and knows about the fitment??? I can get it really cheap here in Sweden... Correct me if I´m wrong, but I guess it´s a Varis copy... Oh, and by the way... I cant find any website for aeroworks... anyone knows about one?

any jdm hood, ie re amemiya, r magic, odula, etc are all going to be 1k+ plus range plus overseas shipping

the best solution is to get american copies which will cost half as much plus no crazy overseas shipping charges, plus they are just more readily available, getting japanese parts isnt the easiest thing to do.

re the hoods saving weight, its the same thing with the REST of the rx8. the car was engineered so well mods don't do much. the stock hood is made of a very lightweight aluminum so its not that the hoods arent that light its just that the stock hood is so light that there's not as much room for improvement.

someone should add auto exe and odula as well, i'll do it later if someone doesn't post the pics.
