I don't think we have a "budget standalone" around $1500..

Why would you put an FD trans on the Renesis?

What's wrong with a Cobb?

Ahh, confusing.

$ 594 for MM Cobb AP would likely be your best bet... Comes with tuning

Standalones under $1500 are not going to happen

An Int X could be picked up for sub $400 also

Nothing cheap runs the throttle and dash standalone without the stock ECU anyway...

Interceptor X is probably the best route, but I would only use it if you have a large turbo upgrade where the MAF sensor becomes impractical to retain

Depending on the power output you want...you may be OK with the MAF...or not

If you want to go MAP..the Intx ( Microtech LT10) would be a good alternative..it reads the stock trigger wheel...and you can buy a used one on here cheap...way less than you could buy the Microtech for
