It's really too early to say, the latest units just started getting released but I have read posts people claiming increases on just half a tank. I would like for people to put on at least 1,000 miles before making early claims. Look forward to the results.

Technically speaking, you should expect less fuel injection at equal throttle over most of the rpm range, which would mean better gas mileage. I believe he did richen the mixture slightly in a few small places, but definitely an overall leaning.

Of course, from everybody that got the original stage 1, gas mileage probably went down on average, because when you can't help put WOT every chance you get because it's so damn fun with the extra power, you'll end up using more gas than when driving more conservatively

so very true. It's like my millenia. It doesn't have great gas mileage if i drive conservative but it's not bad.

The problem though is that it is supercharged and realllly hard to drive conservative. Once i start punching it drinks gas.

If you remove the battery -ve cable when you remove the Stage 1 unit as per the instructions, any codes will go away. The Stage 1 doesn't cause codes anyway, so it's a moot point.

Well, I usually get 12.5mpg with my driving style (I'm always around 5k+ the way traffic moves around here), with the stage-1 installed I got 14.5mpg on my first tank with Stage-1, and I absolutely way using way more throttle than usual just to play with it...

Guys -- I am hesitant to post this ....

Just went for my first gas run after getting the "L" flash and installing new CZ Stage 1. I must be doing something wrong so please help with the math 13.49 gallons 276 miles on the odometer = 20.46 mpg

Something must be wrong -- I have been driving my 8 like I stole it all week since I installed the CZ -- redline after redline -- heck I even hit the rev limiter fuel cut-off on two occassions.

I am sure this is some sort of dream and I will wake up to my regular 16 mpg.

Hskr8 -- second tank was 17 mpg - filled up at half tank. I then had to reset my ECU again (got a CEL when I installed my Green Filter and forgot to re-connect properly). Got 18.5 on the next 1/2 tank. For some reason seems like you get better MPG when you reset the ECU and then fall back some after that. Still getting better mileage than pre-"L" pre'CZ Stage 1.

Went from 17.5 to 20.5 but finding it difficult to stay out of the long skinny pedal on the right. The improvement over stock power is just amazing! It seems now that after about two weeks of running the stage 1 it shows benefit even as low as 3000 rpm. The engine smoothness is wonderful the gas mileage increase is fantastic and the increase in usable low - mid range power as well as the substantial increase in upper range power make this $500 (when I bought it) purchase the best I could have made and would recommend to anyone that wants substantial improvement over stock, plug and play ease and low cost.
