Good thread, but there is a lot of mixing boosted and NA talk and it gets a tad confusing whos on 1st, plus I think you have to be doing this on a car and be fully involved to fully grasp the impact and intent on some points.

I believe the whole point of this thread is for us to work TOGETHER in an effort that benefits all who care to utilize it. No one plans to market any of this info, its an effort for free information for all, so all who stand to benefit from it may want try to play a part in obtaining it. Why should one guy have to do all the work for info that is free for all to use? I dont see anything wrong with contributing to the greater good of the RX-8 community.

^^Great attitude. You can feel free to "plug" your product as much as you want because this thread is about FREE info from whatever tool you use or plan to use, not about the actual tool itself. Hymee, as its obvious you are a supporter of this threads "mission", we will be looking forward to your contribution to this thread as N/A maps are developed and utilized with the pro tuner.

^^You care to elaborate on your "theory" of how anyone will be able to market the info when its already there for everyone to see?

This entire thread is a phishing scheme. I take it you haven't actually read what is going on here.
As I stated, lets see some calibrations.
Go ahead. Post some data.
What are you or Bill waiting for?
So far, all that has happened is some people that want data have been asking those that have it to give it up.
Go get yourself a flash tool, install it in your car and post the maps.
I've got time. I'll wait.

Wait? Just like everyone waited over 2yrs for the AP, right? Now its out there and its great, i have no qualms with that fact. As time moves on and more people contribute, so will this thread and its content (hopefully). The firmware for the efidude tool hasnt even surfaced yet for the public to try, and Bill doesnt work for them nor does he stand to profit from its success. He doesnt have any financial backing to head up testing on this tool, its just a hobby of his and he's trying to get people involved, no matter what tool they are using so as to further fuel the process. Understand im not tryin to fight his battles for him or anything like that, he doesnt need it. I just think you have the wrong idea about the motives here man.

As for me, i am waiting to get my midpipe on before testing due to temps with leaner AFR's as well as the performance. As soon i i get it and changes are made, i will start posting.

As far as waiting is concerned, im still waiting for you to explain how someone is going to market info that is free. You seem to easily label me as being naive, so your explanation should be just as easy...im waiting

What led you to that conclusion?

Nope.

I don't particularly care about your answer. Its misguided, anyway.

As I said - get the tools and share your data. I have no problem with that.

This thread was created by Bill so that he could accrue data from experienced tuners so that he cold use it to further his product.
I'd suggest that the best way to get that kind of R&D is to pay for it one way or another.

HIS product? Wow, talk about miguided. You want to know if its his product, try calling Cam at Pettit or Dian from efidude and ask them. Or of course you could believe they are ALL lying as a part of a grand conspiracy....

That is a pretty serious allegation! It doesn't seem to bear any resemblence to the information presented in this place, or the facts that I know of.

As far as I can ascertain, he is an experienced tuner himself and is retired, may contribute to Dudes project, but does not have any financial connections with it.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Ok Jeff,
If you spent one tenth the time you spend antagonizing people on actually doing something....... You have a lot of time on this forum and I have next to none so let me try this approach.

This thread is about PEOPLE (read, more than one) openly developing tune files for use by everyone. Let's go to work means let's go to the dyno, make numerous passes each trying a small step and document the process to reach some of those results. "Let's go to work" means more than one person learns something in the process and more than one person gets to benefit from the results (without having to pay a tuner for them). Let’s is about contributing. I am tossing in dyno time and some tools. I am tossing in my time to edit files for anyone interested in doing some tuning and testing until such time as Hymee’s graphical package or the Dude shareware editor become available. I’ve tried several times to include the AP and editing software in this effort but it is not available and Trey has made it perfectly clear that he will not contribute to this effort.

If you do not like the topic of this thread, please spend your time elsewhere like on your tuner thread. That starts as a very positive contribution to the common good and a very good read. I would think that a much better use of your time than trying to step all over other people to feel a bit taller.

PS
Already have..

I plug the Hymee product tooooooooooo --- Not the Hymee..

It would be very helpful to use it on this project. Hymee, I will buy a seat and provide it for the dyno tuning sessions on my dime if it will help (just like I would buy an AP on my dime to contribute to this thread).

I spend 100% of my time on both!

My work is done.
Where is everyone else's work?

A little less "boogy" and a little more "rope-a-dope".

From: https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...03&postcount=1

I will put up $1000 to go to the first person to write a scan tool program that looks and works better than the H R&D Apex junk
Expensive hobby at that.

The claim is that this is a hobby, but from the details we see, it doesn't appear that way:
