I'm working on dialling in some new injectors in ME currently. The two areas I'm looking at are a scaling figure for the injector pair, and the latency(deadtime) table. The latency table is a 3D table of Pressure vs. Voltage. Since total pulse time = latency + injector open time (based on scaling figure), you should be able to reduce the scaling figure to force the injectors to cut off early. At low loads such as idle, the latency table comes into play, while at higher loads the scaling is the main contributor.
Are your relocated injectors to be used for idle (primaries), or under load (secondaries and aux)? Worth noting that only the primaries are used until around 3.2krpm, then taper off as the other injectors take over. I don't think the cutover threshold between primaries and secondaries is programmable. You may already have seen that there's a single latency table shared for secondary and aux injectors, but they do have individual scaling figures. Since latency tables don't impact the tune much at high loads it'd probably be fine to run different injector brands in secondary and aux positions, so long as you have scaling dialled in accurately.
some iterations of my setups may use the factory primary injectors in they're regular spot.... but at least one of them is likely to be full p port.. with the primary injectors moving to the p port tract..

i think you mean force a shorter duration.. the end time should stay the same and the start time become later... correct? this is important on a p port because when the ports close they don't stay closed for a moment before reopening but simply never fully close... for the height of the p port is the amount of time two cycles flow against each other. i have to time the injector stop to this.

Hmm, my assumption was that the pulse would start at the same point in the rotor rotation regardless of pulse width (duration), and that the end point of the duration would be the one that varies.
Not that it's much help, but if you spec larger injectors in the P port location and use them for idle and low loads, your duty cycles will be shorter, which would help your cause. The latency tables are not worth touching if you're idling with these injectors as this will produce inconsistent results with low-medium loads.
Happy to continue injector discussion in another thread.
i know the e1280s will be the last ecu i will ever need, i just dont wanna buy 5 wiring harness and keep swapping it between toys.. . 5 of them would be cost prohibiting.
what do you think takes more knowledge ME or adaptronic?i know the amount of adjust-ability in the e1280s is endless..
with the tactrix on the eclipse/evo platform they can change the fueling to speed density or alpha-n and get rid of the maf for bigger turbo builds.. they can completely rewright the fueling algorithm.. i guess the ME isn't much more then a Cobb?
it was a bit of info I picked up on making a peri port idle and have good drivibility... i need the injectors to stop when the air flow stops.
about 30-40 degrees from stock.

at least one of them is going into a jetski as a full pp, and lightweight a key factor. no intake manifolds, plenum to block single tb.
you will see a sideport semi p as well.... and in the next 6 months a 600hp rx8 dyno will pop up with my name on it. peri exhaust... siamese delete.
in the background in the office the guys are talking about advertising the 840hp hellcat they just tuned up that came from another big name shop... im in the right place now.
Super simple newbie ME question, please be gentle,
I want to turn off the CEL 0420 caused by catless exhaust.
1) I assume this is done by changing #01 to #00
2) Do I change this in both DTC lists?
3) Is that it?

I'm curious, will Mazdaedit allow me to adjust the tire size in the ecu so that the spedometer/odometer are accurate for a significantly different sized tire from stock?

Been looking all over the web for details on mazdaedit! Looking forward to hear more progress from this and also hope i can buy the personal version. I own a mazda 3 but hope to own a mazda rx8 in the near future and help you guys out where i can.
