ecu tuning/engine managment

Well my civic si is turning into a rally car this summer, and my 78 z has been slowly turning into a track car, so i've been looking at getting a newer car.

I've been comparing an 06 g35 6spd vs the 06 rx8 6spd. I have a lot of experience with Nissan's so i pretty much know the deal with them.

what i would like to know is more about the RX8.

What are most of you guys (that are running forced induction of some kind) doing for engine management?

How much power can that stock 6spd take?

Same thing goes for that rear diff how much power can it take before it tell you to get bent and blows up?

Thanx for any help that you guys can provide.

The short answer is:

Cobb Accessport tuner with MazdaManiac custom tunes

300+ whp potential

Stock transmission and diff'l are up to it with proper maintenance and use

The long answer is: s-e-a-r-c-h

6 sp is a bit of a dilema - if you don't do stupid **** , it will hold 400whp no problem . If you are hard on it stock power is too much . So no real answer there .

Diff is pretty good - very rare to hear of diff problems on FI cars .
