Ok, so I've been searching the CanZoomer thread with no luck (maybe I should have been searching the entire forum?)

I just had a couple of questions, as well as requests for instructions.

1. Can/does the CanScan tool record full RPM or half?

a. If half RPM, is there a way to convert to full RPM? (If so, please provide instruction)

2. I've read the CZ unit can be programmed using full RPM. Is this now a stock setting?

a. If stock is half RPM, can someone provide instructions on how to convert to full RPM. (I know there is some sort of wiring, switch, etc, as well as converting the maps to full RPM involved, but could find no specific instructions.)

b. Is there a way to easily tell if you running half RPM or full by looking at the hardware? (I ask this b/c I don't have mine hooked up to a computer yet, and I'd like to make the change if necessary before I put it in the car, and then have to take it out again.)

 

CanScan is full RPM...reads the ECU Can output

CZ unmodified is half RPM....can be modified by changing the wiring on the daughter board

I think stock they are still half RPM...except the ones setup for the E01 unit ( ST 3) which are full RPM

No real advantage to a full RPM map except not having to think about doubling the RPM values........

well, if you log things in the Canscan and dump them to excel (which you pretty much have to to understand what your looking at) its pretty easy to just devide the rpm in half
