Just a suggestion...
Thanks for the info. But 44 deg of timing sounds a bit aggressive to me. At least not something that i'd want to do on a customer car. But I guess we'll all know in time what these engines can and can't take

Is there a way that I could get a correct measurement of ignition advance given to the engine? My canscan logs only before the e-manage adjusts ignition timing. I dont know why it's like this, but everyone's does it too. My thing is, if you are reducing fuel just to get a leaner mix and then advancing timing to stabilize it, isn't that taking away fuel that might have made more power? This is why I went with the opposite approach of just lighting up whatever fuel has been pumped in and check to see how much ignition timing was done plus my additional advance (making sure it is below 40 or 44). As soon as I reach the maximum and still see rich mixtures (around 11.9 - 12.5) I would reduce fuel little by little to give a more leaner mix.

I can understand why you wouldn't want to try that on a customer car :D Still, I'm very excited that Vishnu's getting into our RX-8's ECU!

Most of ppl use the canscan data ignition adv + the Adv u make for the cz unit. Basically, u can do track map for the cz unit to get how much adv that u make for certain rpm, certain load and certain thottle position.

I don't think that the JDM tuners have had drastic improvements either...

The Renesis needs to be force-fed to make real power. Period.

Shiv, not sure if your still on the board, but now that there are many boosted owners, it maybe worth relooking at this as a EMS is a must have mod.
