My XEDE EMS for the GReddy RX8
Shiv at Vishnu has given me the OK to let everyone know he's been adapting the XEDE for my Greddy 8. At first he was pretty opposed to offering an RX8 XEDE product, but I think he's warming to the idea after driving my car for awhile.
Also, I appreciate working with people as smart, competent, and professional as Shiv (www.Vishnutuning.com) and Rick (www.ricksrotary.com).
We've got complete control of fuel, timing, and the XEDE also controls boost. There are no CELs, the cruise control & all other systems work, and the idle is smooth as butter. Other than the GReddy kit, it's been ported and has 650cc injectors on the secondaries.
Right now, we're running 91 octane, stock boost, and have the 'George W. Bush' tune (rich & retarded) for the next week or so to make sure the ECU doesn't do anything weird.
After that, we're going to up the boost, lean it out, and see what it puts to the wheels!

Wow. Interesting.
1. How much does this cost?
2. How do you avoid a CEL from running such a rich AFR?
3. When you say complete control, do you mean the injectors and coils are severed from the stock ecu?

The timing and fuel are set by the XEDE independent of the ECU, as opposed to the eMangle scheme that does a +/- to the signal sent from the ECU.

"'George W. Bush' tune (rich & retarded)" - I always laugh at your posts...
So it is Vishnu, this would be both them and the Utech coming to market relatively soon...the more options the better.

**ERROR PROCESSING BS FACTOR**
LOL, I'm just messing...playing around...
Can you give us more information than what you already did or should we sit back and wait for it?
I too am interested in what this thing cost.

Haha, I knew it. Those guys are really good. They wanted to borrow my car to test a few years ago, but I wasn't at that point yet. Good luck! Keep us updated on pricing, and power outcome.

What about something for the Auto? I saw the originaly thread talking about stock cars and nothing came of that, but us auto owners have little recourse for more power so I'd imagine many would eat this up for even a few HP.
