What the hell are you talking about?
I wasn't even talking to you. And who says I'm arguing?
Why am I reading this thread? Cause it's about a new product for our car, and the topic is about opinion, not dyno results.
And no, I can care less about seeing a damn dyno on just an intake.
It's just an intake... Up to date, an intake ALONE has brought what? Just a few horses? It's not new news or anything. Everyday people are asking about how much power an intake will bring, and its always gonna be the same.
So STFU!

And just FYI, if I do get a dyno it will not be of JUST an INTAKE alone. It will be with the rest of my mods with and without the Injen.
Also power variances are not always the same with intakes.... some have LOST power before...
So why dont you stfu? If you don't care and you know it all, why don't you save yourself a few moments and not post or respond?

if a few of you are interested in throwing a few bucks in here or there we can try to get a RX8club sponsored dyno for this intake to see whats what!

Some people really know how to **** up a good topic.
There is a new intake out. Some of us have decided to try it out. Which is good for the community. Getting a dyno is not something that you just go do. First it takes the opportune time, It takes $50-$75 and it is going to happen with several of us. Please be patient and try to hold your criticisms until we get some results. If it's not up to snuff then you will know it as soon as we find out. Hell, I don't want something that isn't a good mod in my car. But please be considerate and think about the OP's post and try to stay on topic instead of getting into a pissing match about something you really don't know for sure yet.

the reason why a lot of us jump on this like we do is that we have all seen these kinds of claims for a new product so many times before .
This is how it usually goes :
*new product comes out claiming 20hp gains
*a few buy it and come on here with there opinions
*"wow my butt dyno tells me i'm way quicker now bros and my throttle response is amazing"
*A whole lot more people jump on the band wagon and buy the product
*Many months later someone actually does a dyno and it shows practically no gain
*"Oh well it still looks good and I still got that awesome throttle response"
* a year or so later everyone who bought it realises they got duped but just keep quiet about it
*Another year goes by and they have got over it and now rip into the product about what a pos it is
*a new product comes out claiming 20hp gains and the cycle begins again
we're all just a bunch of sheep really

So, now I know there is a claim. I now have to go have it dyno'd for everyone's benefit. But please do me a favor and accept that this is a mod like many that could be fun for many that simply enjoy a NA engine and do not care to FI their car and really may not ever care if it ads power. It does have the sensation so we will find that out in due time.
Some like the sound of the exhaust. I LOVE the sound of the intake. Screw whether it ads power. I could care less.
What I'd like to turn this thread back to is that this is a new product... let's as a community, find out what the hell this thing is all about. Not take sides on whether it's additional 20HP. Now it turns out it actually ads 5 real HP, then I will be even more tickled.

*Reason for bullshitting up a thread that was already derailed: Up my post count*
16. Do not deliberately inflate your post count, aka "post-whoring" by responding to a thread with multiple responses when one would do, or "contributing" to threads with a constant string of "me to" or "yeah!" type comments. This has been tolerated in the past but will be no longer. Deliberately inflating one's post count does nothing but waste server space and turn otherwise useful threads into impossible to navigate pages of junk. If you want to chit chat, go to the lounge where useless threads are the norm. :-)

It got deleted because this is all you had to say:
You need to read the rules of the forum:

We have scheduled a dyno day for Nov 1. We have a quick change set up to go from the Injen 1st to the RB intake. Since it has to be done while sitting on the rollers, it needs to be as fast a change as possible. I believe my 3rd run is usually the best so if that is the case this time then the RB will have the best run. Two with the Injen and two with the RB.
Here's the list of engine related mods:
- ACT Prolight flywheel
- RB Catback
- RB Ram Air Duct will stay in place with fan blowing front of car.
Misc notes:
- Dynojet
- OEM Cat
- 5th gear pull to rev-limiter
- 12,000 mi on a new engine, not a reman
- New coils yesterday
- New plugs and wires on order
- Oil 20w50
A nice cool day would be good.
