Hey guys, i just got the INGS+1 rear spoiler and it seems that this spoiler uses the EXACT same 4 bolts that the stock spoiler uses.

Apparently, the JDM rx-8 comes w/ the stock spoiler??

Regardless, Does anyone have a template or installation instructions for the STOCK OEM SPOILER for the rx-8? And any pictures of the bolts/sizes, and anything that comes w/ the stock spoiler??

I didn't have a stock spoiler when I had the Ings installed. What I did was just some charcoal markings where the wing is suppose to be drilled.. use a paper on the trunk, and gently lowered it to mark the spots that will need to be drilled. Then slowly take off a side of the 3M tape... but not all of it, and apply the wing to the trunk. When you are sure it's lined up correctly, tighten the screws, then grab the side of the 3M tape part and pull it out, apply pressure on top of the hood for a few minutes and you are ready.

Or you can go to the dealership and ask for a copy..

I didn't do it alone... Bodyshop helped me out, but I suggested lining it up with charcoal since I did it previously on a friend's car. Then he drilled it... etc etc.

 

do you know the size or part number of the bolts that teh stock spoiler uses??

 

I would like to know the size of the bolts to install the stock spoiler also. If anyone has a template that would be great also.
