I believe there's a thread about that owner in the Major Horsepower section (Puerto Rico). That car belong to someone in Puerto Rico. Full custome work. I believe they are trying to get 400 rwhp.

Yeah, I went there lastnight to look something up and I saw that thread. I couildn't believe how full of BS that guy was and all the smack talking he was doing on top of it. It just disgusts me when someone takes credit for something that isn't theirs. It especially pisses me off because someone took pics of my car and tried to do the same exact thing...

You guys are very cool as a whole but there are certainly some extreme wackos in our midst :p

Anyhow, thanks for the help, and that's going to be one badass RX-8 when it's finished.

Yeah that guy is a moron. I hope you find out who it is.

Also, there's no point in trying to argue with the SRT guys...all their rebuttals always boil down to "I fvcked your mother last night" or "You're gay!" Definitely amusing to read, though :D

The fact is and will always be, they're driving a NEON. I don't think the girl you're bringing out on a date gives a **** about your quick little neon, because it is still a NEON!!

IKE all in all I do like your posts even though we disagree. But i have to say, I wonder what 8's you've ridden in?.....don't get me wrong, I don't think the car is fast, I think its quick...there is a difference, and I didn't buy it for 1/4 times, but you make it sound as if the 8 is slow?? I found that video of the G35 and s2000 interesting. Whether you want to believe it or not, my buddy who had (but now sold) his 2003 g35C, tried to pull on me from 2nd to the shift into 4th. Now maybe he wasn't a good driver, and maybe he would have taken me in the long run, but I'll tell yah he was right beside me. I think there are 8's out there that have such a difference in the MAF sensors, that some run richer than others, and hence less power.....mine has always pulled nicely, and that is why I think the CZ did not work for me or Polack (which makes sense), and also explains some different dyno results for different cars totally stock. And once again, the 8 isn't a speed demon, but even my buddy was surprised I kept up with him? Personally I think a turbo 8 would be a fast car, and can't wait to see some real time slips.

bottom line everyone hates the rx-8 besides us rx-8 owners it will only get respect when it gets years of tuning like the FD who knows maybe one day it will be capable of pushing 400hp+ easily then they will shut up.

you don't see them bad mouthing the FD or Supra since they can push out power so easily they only stick to what they know and drag racing on the street is a pure waste of time.

I never go onto another car forum and try to defend the car I have. it just starts big long immature threads. It will never end. People like different cars for different reasons....

I love rotaries and front engine, rear drive Japanese cars....that's pretty much it.

Some people love FF cars, and American cars...or whatever....just the way it goes.

I read some of the SRT forum and all I can say is this... Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I think more complaints from others come about the RX-8 because of the last RX-7. Our 8's pale in comparison to the FD in the performance category, obviously. Many seem to like to ignore the fact, or don't realize, that Mazda has clearly stated it is not a replacement for the RX-7. Then the widespread thought of how unreliable the rotary is just finishes the car off.

they seem to like the fact that their car is fast off of a stop light but when challenged to auto-x, they revert back to said stoplight. this is great :D

yeah the best part was when they said

"yeah chicks wont be liking you once they find out your car loses to a neon"

it's so rediculously funny its unbelievable, like any chick gives a effin **** how fast the car is, it looks better, it is made with something called quality control at the factory, and isn't a neon. hell, the guy is even downplaying himself by setting a standard of shittyness to the neon
