Nah, I do believe the CZ unit gives about a good 10-15 whp by itself (tuned). On the peak, the other mods (midpipe, catback, pullies, etc these dynos were done before the REVi was out) really only added about 10 whp, so when the CZ cars are dynoing 20+ whp they are definitely adding power, but the claims of 40 are just not realistic. There have been dynos done with CZ On & Mods vs. CZ Off & Mods & there has been about a 16 hp & 5 lb.ft. of tq difference.

So then the Unichip is a good alternative as they claim a good solid 10hp.

And people have verified that.

The only person I have seen on the board with the Unichip is Mcpheeg (He said it gave him 7 hp). With the CZ unit there have been numerous posters that have posted dynos. There is a great deal of variability in it though. Helps some RX8's more than others.

i had turbo...took it off because i did not like the car's balance (imbalance)...
i always used to get out of my car before the turbo and feel so excited about it...
with the turbo, it had tons of extra useable power (always great to have that much power) but i just wasnt enjoying the car as a whole anymore. i also had some problems that seemed to be too persistent for my comfory level...
i am going back to NA with my sr hi flow cat, and adding the RB revi intake.

looking forward to having the car i always have loved back...tommorow!

I was running only a 40 hp gain when I first put the turbo in, but it was found I was only pushing 4 lbs. of boost.

Well, I just know if Warren (renwar1) can get his car to put down 200+whp STOCK, there can be real power made NA...I'm close to 190whp, stock, thus, if I ever figure out how to tune the ECU for real, 200-210-215 isn't out of the question.

Hopefully.

If you want results of differnet setups please see canzoomers place UK spec car with canzoomer installed.
I have done everything with unichip and canzoomer and have all the dynos to prove what is working and what is not. Later tonight the dynos will all be posted and the various setup I used when dynoing the car.
Hope this thread puts to bed some of the questions that are still being asked
:D
