Exclamation SR Air Intake

I recently bought the SR air intake. After installing it and running it I feel the car is not right. THe car feels stronger in the low gears but when I accelerate the car seems to starve for fuel for a second before going. Also, If I keep my pedal depressed at mid throttle, the car would just shake like if I were banging the gas pedal. THat also happens when I use the cruise control. Anyone using this intake?? Any suggestions?

How long have you had it installed? Did you disconnect the neg batt terminal when you installed it? The ECU prob just need some time to learn.

The brake light test will not do anything for the light disconnect the neg battery terminal for about 30-45 minutes and pump the brakes with it disconnected to drain any juice left in the ecu and reattach the neg and start it up. Check for any leaks in the connections also.

at first? Do they fix themselves over the time? What can I do? I am thinking of putting the original back in the car.

There is a thread about this. Try doing a search, it is a really long thread. I think it was due to the way the unit is assembled, it can be hard to not fold up the seal around the K&N cone. Results in a bad hesitation & idle. The leak causes the MAF readings to be all over the place.

Funny thing I was at Seven Stock and talked to the owner of SR Motorsports.

He said he has never had a problem. It seems to be very quite too.

Call him if you have a probelm, but disconnect to battery to fix the flashing light problem.
