A catback exhaust will not give you any gains. Headers, Midpipe, and a catback might give you up to around 10 hp gains. Buy the exhaust that sounds best to you.

I have a question. My cat is clogged and I was looking at the Turbo XS system or the exoticspeed rII. Would I have to buy a new cat or midpipe? I'm new to this kinda

Well if the Trubo XS system does not include the midpipe you will have to buy a new midpipe to correct your problem.

RX-8 Exhaust
1st:Knightsports
2nd:Odula
3rd:Knightsports with knightsports midpipe with catalyst???
4th: I dont think it says it specifically, but it looks like it could be a MS or oem?
5th: no idea, it sounds weird and american-y.. ew.
6th: maybe Rmagic
7th: Odula Titanium
8th: looks like a greddy? could be completely wrong.
9th: RE-A Dolphin
10th: Odula
11th: no idea
12th: RE-A/Knightsports possibly? IMHO best sounding out of all of them

I dont read/write Japanese, but assuming the word for exhaust stayed the same i think im almost accurate. If i had no idea, looked at the kit, if that didnt lead me anywhere i looked for any aftermarket badges. Im confident on about 5 of them.

or just buy a bhr midpipe/RB/Mazsport and convert the oem exhaust into a single exit if you want to do an exhaust mod.

Since ur driving a 40th anniversary and are probably still under 80k miles, i would go to Mazda and have it replaced under warranty. Then buy the catback of your choice to put behind it. My exoticspeed titan R-II should be here on Thursday or Friday according to UPS.

I was going to but an exhaust system because when my motor blew this spring break some of the stuff tried to exit thru the exhaust and got stuck in the piping because at low RPMs (around 3-2) I hear something rattle. I've put the car on a lift and checked for anything lose and nothing. That's why I was just going to get a system that came with a cat delete

You could take the cat off and gut it. You'll get a CEL but you will with the turboxs setup too. Or try to find a used OEM one. Im sure there's some in the for sale section. Exoticspeed sells a catted midpipe too but i haven't read any reviews about it yet.

Just got the exoticspeed titan R-II installed two hours ago. I have the 3" PWR version. Took 30 minutes to take stock one off and this one on. Fitment was like a glove. Sound with stock cat is fantastic. Deep bellow till 4,5k then a high pitch scream till redline. I love my car all over again. Haven't stopped smiling. Butt dyno says no noticeable difference but that's to be expected. Rotary tips look amazing but aren't double walled. I don't know how to upload pics from mobile otherwise I would.
