Sounds nice. Hopefully it produces "some" noticeable power gains. For the exhaust tips, use the same ones from Greddy's Spectrum Elite Exhaust but with Rotary Extreme engraved on the sides. That would look sick. Good luck with this exhaust. Can't wait to see the dyno sheet.

I did not expect to see a "good" gain because this exhaust was made for the specific header I'm working on. However I dynoed it today and It made noticable power from around 5k up. It made only about 7whp and 4wtq. But again this exhaust is not ideal as as catback, it is ideal for the header back concept.

But hey, It dosent lose power..lol

I'm actually happy because my baseline with my car warmed up after a drive was 177whp.

I did not dyno it while the car was cold with the new exhaust because that would be cheating. The car was put on the dyno after a drive and it made 185whp.

I have the dyno graph, I'll post it tomorrow.

But everyone please remember, this exhaust is ment for the dual header and thats why the gains are a little low.

Ben

7 hp gain sounds about normal so no excuses necessary.

Really, I thought Greddy and HKS were making like 10 whp minimum. Interesting. If you look at my exhaust, I could probably free up another hp or so when I have it mandrel bent. It was a little tight at the curve to the mufflers. The ti-tips look cool but damn, I need ear plugs for the drone on the freeway. I will try fab up an adaptor to fit in the tip to offset the noise at crusing.

Other then that, I'm happy.

I was wrong, it starts to make power at around 6k. Overall the max gain is about 7whp and only .5wtq. But from 7.5 it makes about 4wtq more then stock.

I will include silencers with the exhaust to help with the noise while daily driving.

Please see the attched Dyno.

coming back from sevenstock.
wow, wow, wow
good top end power from this exhaust!!!! (poor 2004 mustang GT)

I also managed to get the guys from RX-8 Magizine to take a pic of the exhaust too.

The production model should be done by the end of October.

Ben.

*bump* for this...

me and a couple of other forum members got to see this exhaust up close(literally, i practically burned an eyelash while inspecting the tips) - gotta say the pic's do it no justice - it get's my approval for looks and sound! If john (aka Renesis se3p) would chime in i'm sure he would agree -

price tag yet??

Yeah +1 for this exhaust. It makes a beautiful sound.

Did you get a chance to make those adjustments we talked about on the way back Ben? I'm curious to see if it worked the way we hoped it would.

you might try swapping back and forth several times in a row quickly on the dyno if possible, you might be surprised by the variations ....

I need to be carefull on here now. I am still working with internet brands on being a vendor in here. As far as a price tag...um..I have to ditch the v-band concept to get it around 1k. But this exhaust looks good, sounds good, fits good. It does not lose any power in the low end over stock and it makes more top end power. The material used is why it is around XXXXX. It has twice the piping and has to be hand made to fit. This is not your average cookie cutter exhuast. But I believe you will be getting well worth your money for this exhaust.

My RX-8 spoiler will hopefully be done by the end of this week.

Ben

Other then watching the ecu have more fun adjustng for the differences, swapping back and forth is the same thing as doing 10 runs stock and taking the average and then doing 10 runs with the cat-back and comparing that average with the stock average.

I have done the testing I needed to do on the dyno and off the dyno.

All results are positive. Period.

Besides, Socket7 has witnessed the power addition the exhaust gives above 6k and it is friggin good.

Socket7. I will be swapping the v-bands out for the production run exhaust joints to see if it eliminates the only negative thing this exhaust has. Freeway drone. I believe its comming from the v-bands that are centered between the gas tank shield and PPF.

Keep in mind some people will NEVER be happy as they can not have enough information shown to them as proof and even then they'd probably claim it was poorly done. Don't even try. I stopped trying to prove myself to people online long ago. They either agree with me or they don't. Of course if they don't they are wrong but that's their problem!

I swapped the front v-bands for the new slip over style at the y-connector. You can no longer "feel" the drone inside the car. The noise was comming from where the v-bands were rubbing against the ppf.

Under acceleration it is loud in top gear on the freeway. Cruising it is ok and the drone in minimal. Ear plugs are no longer needed.

All issues fixed.

The exhaust will be going up on the site today along with the T-shirts and the Rotary Extreme spoiler.

I will be advertising on rotarycarclub from now on. All group buys will be posted there and on my site.

Thank you Ben Meeker.

the silencers that come with the turboxs exhaust really really really really kill drone. below 65mph in a cruise you cant even hear the exhaust, however when you touch that pedal...

without the silencers its ear deafening.

I did not see this thread when it first came around.

Does the sound in person have more bass than that youtube video?

What type of metal is this? Aluminum, 304 stainless, 409 steel?

I have not dynoed it on an auto, but there is a dyno chart in this thread.

The exhaust sounds way better in person. I have more sound videos that I will have linked on the site once it's updated.

The exhaust is stainless steel, it's just not polished.
