Rotary Extreme Dual cat-back
5 Attachment(s)
The prototype is complete. The prototype has v-bands and is hand cut and welded. The mufflers are bassani mufflers and there are Ti-Tips.
The production run will be mostly mandrel bent and hand welded and will use swedge type slip connects with botled brakets. The reason for the change is to save cost for the customer and to save space in between the PPF and gas tank area. I will have the exhaust dynoed either tomorrow or thusday. The price is on RCC. This exhaust weighs 23 lbs. ] |
Interesting set up, let's wait for the dyno!

Yea post a sound clip or a link to youtube :)

Yup. But if your mods make you move and loud so be it.

silient but deadly, perfect type of performance exhaust...lol
|
Nice dude , i was thinking about doing this but you actually did it. Good job :)
|
Thanks 636, this is only the prototype.
It cost $1700 to make. Its double the normal price because it has double the parts. But I'm working on some things to make it more affordable. |
possible Group Buy to gather interest?
- i like the design of the piping - i would prefer the tips to be extended a little further back, towards the muffler tho... |
Damn that looks bad ass, any chance we can just purchase it as a single.
|
I'm sure my opinion won't be appreciated so I'll keep it zipped ....

TeamRX8, your comment is your thoughts. You have freedom of speech.
But it is my design, I like it, it looks good to me, it sounds good to me, and it is a good looking exhuast. "THIS IS NOT A RACE EXHAUST" so really it should not be judged as such. Weight was not a factor. Price was not a factor. Power addition matters but probably wont really be seen with this exhaust until my dual header is done. Hopefully I'll get it dynoed today. So I am curious to hear what you (TeamRX8) have to say, all comments are welcome. TeamRX8, I saw your exhaust. If I wanted a lightweight track exhaust, Im sure yours is perfect because you made yours for those reasons. Credit is given where credit is due. My exhaust has it's own market. |
I like the sound on it. How loud is it? and does it drone on the freeway?

It's kinda loud, yes it drones on the freeway a little. Under throttle it sounds nice. But this is the prototype and the next one will be closer to production. The next one will have mandrel bending, slip connections withe brackets and different tips. |
damn that shit is loud

Actually only one exhaust has any apparent merit but that's only to one person who's never tried anything else.
I'm curious since i own a modest mazdaspeed dual muffler and a re amemiya catalyzer. |
It's sarcasm aimed at headers as NO ONE has made one yet that makes more than 4-5 hp.
|
i thought you were mentioning cat-backs. Lol, morphine is really driving me mad lately :)
|
not bad for a prototype. the tips do look way too short though.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZZhxW5ym68 a very limited niche market is great if it supports the effort you may think I'm trying to drag you down but I actually wish you the best ... :wavey: |
